Delshad Master

Squadron Leader Delshad Master (Retd.) is an Indian Air Force
veteran who served the nation as a Short Service Commissioned
officer for a decade in the Education branch.
Through her stint with the IAF, she played various roles and served
in numerous, forward fighter bases of North, West and North-East
India.

Born and brought up in Mumbai, she completed her graduation in Commerce with a Hons
degree in Management & Indian Taxation. She is a post-graduate in Defence and Strategic
Studies from the University of Pune. At the time of joining the IAF, she was pursuing her
M.Phil studies at the aforementioned University. Before she hung up her boots in 2014, she
acquired a degree in 'General Management for Defence Officers' from the prestigious IIM,
Indore.
Since then, she has pursued various interests and passions, earning herself a few
qualifications in the bargain. She is a trained RJ and Voice-Over artist, a creative writer and
an amateur actor with various Bangalore based theatre and film companies like
Organisational Theatre, Kalayan Group, Green Note Films and Kathputliyaan Theatre Group.
She is also an adventure sports enthusiast, a certified deep-sea diver, an advanced white-
water rafter, car rally enthusiast, a biker and an equestrian rider. She is an ardent animal
lover, a veterinary para-medic as well and an enthusiastic Toastmaster in 2 clubs. She has
been the Charter President of a Leo club as well.
On coming to Bangalore in 2017, she worked as Content Manager at a premier Digital Mktg
firm. Currently, she oversees her business 'EdKronicles' which is a writing and audio Content
Creation and Training firm specializing in the field of Queer Sensitisation.
A strong and ardent ally of the LGBTQIA community she used to be the Chief Editor of the
digital magazine 'Fifty Shades of Gay', and now works towards transforming minds through
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Sex, Gender & Sexuality training. She has recently acquired
online certifications from the Universities of Colorado, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, and the
Stanford school of Medicine, USA. Delshad sees herself as a 'Queer Sensitisation Catalyst'.
She is currently studying to earn a Diploma in Counselling and simultaneously penning her
first book for parents 'Help! My Kid's Queer.'
